Job description

Pinnacle Midlands Health Network (Pinnacle) is a primary health organisation (PHO) supporting general practices and delivering care through extended and outreach teams across Te Manawa Taki. We focus on equitable primary healthcare and community-based services, working alongside others to support whānau. Everything we do, from general practice to outreach, aims to help people achieve their health and wellbeing potential.

Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunity

We’re looking for a creative digital engagement advisor to focus on digital storytelling, video, and online engagement. You’ll help share the stories of our network from general practice and community teams to our wider partnerships. You’ll also support internal content that highlights our work, strategic direction, and subject matter expertise.

It’s an ambitious ask for a part time role working 20 hours per week, but you’ll be working with a capable, collaborative team that values trust, shared purpose, and knows how to prioritise.

Key responsibilities

Content creation and storytelling

  • Craft scroll-stopping content, posts, snappy videos, and visuals that make people care.
  • Put faces, voices and real stories to primary care.
  • Keep our content voice sharp, human, and unmistakably Pinnacle.

Video production and editing

  • Create short videos with simple tools and occasionally help refine longer ones.
  • Help share the work and impact of general practice, extended care, community, and outreach teams through video.
  • Capture Pinnacle’s events, people, and places.

Social, web and communications support

  • Help us breathe new life into our social media.
  • Lend a hand on the newsletter when needed.
  • Help keep the websites updated and relevant.
  • Promote our mahi and milestones effectively.

Digital engagement and strategy

  • Use HubSpot, analytics, and simple AI tools to support smart, human-led content decisions.
  • Track what works, tweak what doesn’t, and keep learning.

Collaboration and stakeholder engagement

  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with our small but mighty team.
  • Team up with others across the organisation to showcase their work.
  • Build content that supports the bigger picture.

He kōrero mōu: About you

We’re looking for someone who understands the importance of relationships and knows how to represent Pinnacle with respect and care. An awareness of tikanga and the ability to reflect our values when engaging with others is essential, especially when working across our diverse communities.

Skills and experience

  • Confident working in the digital space, especially with video, social media, Canva Pro, and content platforms.
  • A capable writer who can communicate clearly and shape a good story but with strong digital instincts at the core.
  • Comfortable managing website content and digital tools like HubSpot and AI.
  • Brings ideas to life in collaboration with others.

Attributes and working style

  • Happy to crack on once the direction’s clear — no micromanaging here, just a high-trust team that backs each other to get things done.
  • Full of ideas, with the focus to bring them to life.
  • Friendly, flexible, and ready to pitch in where needed.
  • Comfortable juggling a few things at once.
  • Brings good vibes to a team that loves what it does.

We work in collaboration and partnership with general practice, hapū, iwi, other health organisations and some of our services include smoking cessation, screening, mobile immunisation, before school check, extended care and school-based health services.
  • Kawa whakaruruhau (cultural responsiveness) - we strive to uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi and recognise the richness of our diverse workforce.
  • Kaitiakitanga (Stewardship) - We’re not a typical Primary Health Organisation! We exist to make it easier for people to stay healthy, and you can see this in the work we do to simplify access to primary healthcare and address equity barriers.
