Reporting to the Manager of Food Services and under supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, Food Services, the Dietetic Technician will be responsible for preparing, labeling, and storing Mother’s Breast Milk and Donor Breast Milk in the NICU using a bar-coded patient safety system. Responsibilities include aseptic preparation of breast milk, maintaining inventory, ensuring cleanliness, receiving and delivering milk and formula, updating dietary worksheets, and collaborating with NICU team members.

Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, weekends, holidays. Shifts vary from 3 to 11.25 hours; 24-hour operation, backshifts may be required.

Your Qualifications:

  • Food Service Supervisor certification and/or post-secondary training in nutrition or a degree in Food and Nutrition.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Math competency (testing may be required).
  • Attention to detail, initiative, interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational skills and flexibility.
  • Teamwork ability.
  • Additional languages are an asset.
