Role Description

This is a hybrid role for a Dietetic Assistant at Wise Eats Mobile Nutrition Services. The Dietetic Assistant will be responsible for tasks related to dietetics, communication, food service, food preparation, and nutrition. This role is located in Penticton, BC, with some work-from-home flexibility. You will be assisting the REGISTERED DIETITIAN in long-term care 26 hours a week and private practice nutrition counselling 10 hours a week.

Qualifications

  • BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics (or similar)
  • Currently eligible for a dietetic internship
  • Dietetics and Nutrition skills
  • Food Service Supervision
  • Experience in the healthcare or nutrition industry
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of dietetics principles and meal planning
  • Previous experience in residential care facilities is required

Pay and Benefits

The pay is $45,000 to $68,000 annually. You will work 35 to 40 hours a week. We offer benefits, including a private health spending account and matching RRSP.

Note : Although we do provide opportunities for unpaid practicums, this is not an internship. You must be able to work independently. Menu planning experience is an asset. Applicants with experience in nutrition care in residential care facilities will be prioritized during the selection process.
