The Nutrition & Food Services Department is looking for a Dietary Technician to join our Patient Services Team. An integral part of the Nutrition and Food Services Management team, the Dietary Technician will work in coordination with Clinical Dietitians, Manager of Patient Services and other health care professionals to ensure that the specific diet and formula orders are calculated and being carried out accurately in a timely fashion.

Here's What You'll Get To Do

  • Provide leadership and supervision to Dietary Aides whom perform functions such as food, formula and Breast milk preparation while monitoring processes to ensure the highest quality outcome
  • Communicate between inter-hospital departments and the patient food services and milk preparation areas

Here's What You'll Need

  • Graduation from an approved Food Service Supervisory course or have a Nutrition and Food Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University
  • Membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management and CFSSA preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of computerized diet order entry systems, including using MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skill.
  • Experience working in a Hospital setting preferably with children
  • A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity & inclusion
