We’re looking for an energetic, compassionate, and inspiring Dietary Services Supervisor to join our leadership team and help make a real impact on the well-being of those in our care.

If you are a passionate leader who believes in service with heart, this is your opportunity to guide a dynamic team while transforming lives through nourishing meals and exceptional care.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead with Purpose: Supervise and motivate a dedicated team of up to 45 direct reports (both unionized and non-unionized staff). You'll be the coach and mentor who champions the best practices in food service and customer care, fostering a positive, high-performing team.
  • Foster a Positive Culture: Create an environment where respect, inclusion, and empathy thrive. Your leadership will help cultivate a team that celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusion at the heart of everything we do.
  • Enhance Our Services: Oversee food preparation, portioning, presentation, and overall quality of meals, ensuring that each meal is made with care and meets the highest standards. You’ll be the go-to person for addressing any feedback and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Engage with Residents: Build relationships with residents to ensure that every meal is tailored to their preferences, needs, and nutritional requirements. You’ll lead the Resident Dining Committee to ensure their voices are heard and reflected in dining decisions.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Take charge of food inventory, ordering, and storage while ensuring compliance with nutritional guidelines and regulatory standards. Your keen eye will make sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Promote Emotional Care: Be part of a team that believes in emotional-based care. Help develop a divisional menu that doesn’t just nourish the body, but also nurtures the spirit of our residents.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with other departments and stakeholders to uphold the high standards of care that Peel Manor is known for, and help spread the message of quality, compassionate care.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Education & Experience: You’ve graduated from an approved program in Food Services Supervision or Nutrition Management, or you’re a Registered Dietitian with experience in Quantity Food Service and Management. You also have at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a unionized healthcare setting, ideally within a Long-Term Care Facility.
  • Expert Knowledge: You know your nutritional guidelines and health regulations inside and out, including the Long Term Care Homes Act, HACCP, and Public Health requirements.
  • Leadership & Coaching Skills: You thrive in a leadership role, providing the guidance and coaching needed to ensure high performance and a positive work environment.
  • Financial Acumen: You’re a pro at managing finances, ensuring that budget expectations are met and overseeing the purchasing of food, supplies, and equipment within the dietary department.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: You handle high-pressure situations with ease and are able to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Commitment to Inclusion: You actively promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within your leadership style and interactions with your team and residents.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us:
  • Make a Real Difference: Your leadership will directly impact the quality of life for our residents. Every day, you'll help create meals that nourish both the body and the soul.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a team that shares your passion for exceptional care, continuous improvement, and respect for every individual.
  • Growth Opportunities: Whether you're developing your leadership skills or mentoring others, there’s always room for growth within our organization.
  • Supportive Culture: We believe in kindness, empathy, and collaboration – and you'll feel it every day in our workplace.

If you're an empathetic, passionate leader who's ready to make a real difference and contribute to a team that’s dedicated to creating a compassionate, welcoming environment for residents, apply now and join us in making Peel Manor a place where care, respect, and quality of life come first!
