Dietary Aide

Part time / Casual

It's an exciting time to join Golden Life as we expand our seniors housing, care, and services within western Canada.

We’re seeking qualified, regular, part-time Dietary Aide Server to join our Columbia Garden Village team. If you are a strong team player, we want to hear from you!

The successful candidate will have related experience and a passion for providing high-quality care and support for seniors.

Responsibilities include:

• Counting, weighing, and measuring ingredients for food preparation areas;
• Portioning and serving food and beverages in the dining room, and managing supplies;
• Loading hot wagons and delivering food to resident neighborhoods;
• Stocking resident kitchens with items such as paper products, snacks, beverages, and staples;
• Preparing tables with items like napkins, placemats, utensils, condiments, and beverages before mealtimes;
• Preparing beverages and simple food items such as tea, coffee, toast, sandwiches, and salads;
• Washing, peeling, and storing vegetables and fruits;
• Assisting the Chef with meal portioning and service for special and catered events;
• Operating dishwashers, stacking dishes, and setting tables;
• Using dispensing machines and reporting equipment issues;
• Performing cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and trash removal;
• Replenishing and organizing supplies in the kitchenette and refrigerator;
• Performing clerical duties such as answering phones and documenting menu information.

What we offer:

Compensation: The wage schedule of $24.34 per hour for this position currently falls under provincial wage-levelling.
