  • Help with daily prep tasks.
  • Store and label dietary supplies properly.
  • Check and record temperatures of food items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas.
  • Set up for catering events.
  • Adhere to departmental policies.
  • Assemble nourishment carts and stock unit kitchenettes.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Serve food to residents according to their diets and preferences.
  • Manage portion control of food items.
  • Follow safety precautions in your assigned area, report unsafe incidents or equipment issues to management, and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Operate equipment safely, document temperatures of pot wash, dish machines, refrigerators, and freezers, and follow up as needed.
  • Deliver catering to various hospital locations, including collecting dirty dishes for washing.
  • Ensure timely meal service and maintain proper food temperatures.
  • Assist cooks in preparing salads, vegetables, fruits, and simple breakfast items or desserts, following basic instructions.
  • Clear plates and trays, operate dishwashers, and clean pots, pans, and utensils following procedures.
  • Help with daily prep tasks as per the Prep List.
  • Store and label dietary supplies and leftovers properly.
  • Check and record temperatures or tastes of food items, following HACCP guidelines, and take corrective actions if needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work areas.
  • Set up for catering events, including linens, table settings, and special requests.
  • Adhere to departmental policies on quality, safety, infection control, and environmental standards.
  • Assemble nourishment carts and stock unit kitchenettes.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
