The Opportunity

The Dietary Aide assists in meal preparation and service, ensuring work areas are safe and sanitary.

Responsibilities
  1. Serve meals to residents and guests courteously and professionally.
  2. Assist in setting up and preparing items like beverages, salads, and desserts.
  3. Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as needed.
  4. Help clean dishware and cutlery after each seating.
  5. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
  6. Assist with catering and participate in special events and theme days.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a Food Handler's Certificate.
  • Prior experience in food service and working with seniors is preferred.
  • Enrolled or willing to enroll in Food Service Worker Training Program.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy, hot items and stand/walk for most of the shift.
  • Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
  • Provide a current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check or be willing to obtain one.
