The Opportunity

The Dietary Aide assists in meal preparation and service, ensuring work areas are maintained safely and hygienically.

Responsibilities
  1. Serve meals to residents and guests courteously.
  2. Assist in setting up and preparing items like beverages, salads, and desserts.
  3. Set and clear tables and deliver tray service as needed.
  4. Help clean dishware and cutlery after each seating.
  5. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
  6. Participate in catering and special events.
Qualifications
  • Must have a Food Handler's Certificate.
  • Previous experience in food service and working with seniors is preferred.
  • Enrolled or willing to enroll in Food Service Worker Training Program.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy items, stand, and walk for most of the shift.
  • Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
  • Provide a current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check or be willing to obtain one.
