Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a dedicated dietary assistant to support meal service for residents and guests in our Ontario communities.

You will help set up and prepare items, serve meals, deliver trays, and assist with dining-room and kitchen cleanliness while upholding health and safety standards.

The role requires a Food Handler's Certificate, a willingness to train, reliable customer service, and the ability to lift heavy items; bilingualism is a plus.

Qualifications

• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Preference will be given to individuals with previous experience in the food service industry and working with seniors.
• Must have or be enrolled in Food Service Worker Training Program.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand/walk for the majority of shift.
• Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
• Must be able to provide a current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check, including a Criminal Record Check, or be willing to obtain one.
