AgeCare in Ontario is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support residents' dining needs in a warm, home‑like setting. You will serve meals, assist with set‑ups, tray service and cleanup, and help maintain a clean, inviting dining environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Food Handler's Certificate, have prior food service experience (seniors preferred), be physically able to lift and stand for long shifts, and provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check. bilingualism is an asset.

Qualifications

• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Experience in food service and with seniors preferred.
• Must be able to lift and stand for long periods.
• Second language proficiency is an asset.
• Vulnerable Sector Check within six months or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional manner.
• Assist with setup and service of beverages, salads, desserts, etc.
• Set and clear tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and maintaining dining area cleanliness.
• Support catering and participate in special events.
• Assist in orientation and training of new dietary staff.

AgeCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the dietary needs of our residents, ensuring they receive appealing meals in a welcoming atmosphere.

What You Will Do

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist in the set up and preparation for service of various items such as beverages, salads, desserts, etc.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware, and cutlery after each seating as required.
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area as required.
• Assist with catering, and actively participate in special occasions and theme events.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new dietary employees.
• Follow and comply with health and safety legislation and departmental safe job procedures.
• Comply with all provincial regulations and established department policies and procedures.

What You Bring

• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Preference will be given to individuals with previous experience in the food service industry and working with seniors.
• Must have or be enrolled in Food Service Worker Training Program.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand/walk for the majority of shift.
• Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
• Must be able to provide a current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check, including a Criminal Record Check, or be willing to obtain one.
