What You’ll Be Doing

You will be a welcomed member of the Retirement team, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Dietary Aide, you will ensure a safe and clean environment for residents. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will contribute to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Assist with the preparation and serving of meals
  • Follow residents' diets and food preferences
  • Take menu orders from the residents
  • Set and clear tables in the dining rooms and ensure they are sanitized
  • Follow proper food handling techniques

Who You Are

  • Have a valid Safe Food Handler’s Certificate or willing to obtain
  • Committed to providing compassionate support for seniors
  • Detail-oriented with strong customer service skills
  • Experience in food service from institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality preferred
  • Possessing a Food Service Worker Certificate is an asset, but not required
  • Must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check (Ontario applicants)
  • Must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check (British Columbia applicants)
