We’re opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art Campus of Care in Brantford, offering both Long-Term Care and Retirement Living in one compassionate and innovative community. We're looking for caring, committed team members to help us make a difference every day.

As a Dietary Aide at Long Term Care, you'll contribute more than just your professional skills; you'll create meaningful relationships with the individuals who call Sienna Senior Living Oakwood Commons their home. This position allows you to deliver compassionate care to our residents through your responsibilities in dietary services. What You’ll Be Doing

You will be a welcomed member of the Retirement team, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Dietary Aide you will do meaningful work everyday ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents’. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

How You’ll Succeed

1. Food Preparation & Food Handling

• Assist with the preparation of meals, and serving meals

• Follow residents' diets and food preferences

• Take the menu orders from the residents

• Set and clear tables in the dining rooms and ensure they are sanitized

• Ensure you are following proper food handling techniques

Who You Are:

• Have a valid Safe Food Handler’s Certificate or willing to obtain

• You are committed to providing compassionate support that provides seniors to live their lives to the fullest

• You are detailed-oriented coupled with strong customer service skills enabling you to effectively communicate with residents and staff

• You may bring experience in food service from institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality

• While possessing a Food Service Worker Certificate would be excellent, it’s not a requirement

• All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check. Applicable to Ontario applicants.

• All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check. Applicable to British Columbia applicants.
