The Food and Nutrition Department at Maitland Manor is looking for a Dietary Aide to become part of a dynamic team that ensures our Residents are provided with nutritious and delicious meals that are prepared and served with love. If you are ready to bring your A-game, we want you as part of our team!

You will be accountable for:
  1. Ensuring food is handled in a safe manner, including proper storage and labelling
  2. Assisting cooks in basic food preparation
  3. Executing proper food service in relation to internal and external guidelines and protocols
  4. Serving meals according to Resident diet orders
  5. Washing, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and dining room
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
  1. Successful completion or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act
  2. Possess a current Safe Food Handling Certificate
  3. Passion for providing quality care to residents in a long term care setting
  4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  5. Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  6. Demonstrated ability to be a team player
