Caressant Care Nursing And Retirement Homes Limited is seeking a passionate Dietary Aide to join our care team in St. Thomas, Ontario. This part-time role supports residents with meals and dietary services, following standards and safety guidelines.

The successful candidate will have a Food Service Worker Certificate or be willing to obtain the required Food Handler Training, possess strong English communication skills, and demonstrate reliability and punctuality in a caring LTC environment.

What you bring…

• Successful completion of Food Service Worker Certificate and Food Handler Training Program (or commitment to obtain within a specified period, as required under the Fixing Long Term Care Homes Act and its Regulations)
• Must be willing to accept verbal and/or written direction
• Able to cope with the physical and emotional demands of the position
• Geriatric, long-term care experience is beneficial
• Experience in long-term care food service is an asset, including texture-modified diets, therapeutic and production spreadsheets
• Good communication skills, able to read and write in the English language
• Punctual and reliable

The starting rate of pay is $24.40 per hour , and the terms and conditions of employment are as set out in the Collective Agreement.
