It's an exciting opportunity to join Golden Life as we expand our seniors housing, care, and services in western Canada.

We are seeking a qualified Part-Time Dietary Aide (Dishwasher) to join our Rocky Mountain Village team in Fernie, BC. If you are enthusiastic, a team player, and passionate about providing high-quality care and support for seniors, we would love to hear from you!

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and a passion for senior care.

Responsibilities include:

• Portioning and serving food and beverages in the dining room, and managing supplies.
• Loading hot wagons and delivering food to resident neighborhoods.
• Stocking resident kitchens with supplies such as paper products, snacks, beverages, and staples.
• Preparing tables for meals with napkins, placemats, utensils, condiments, and beverages.
• Preparing beverages and simple food items like tea, coffee, toast, sandwiches, and salads.
• Assisting the Chef with meal portioning and service during special and catered events.
• Cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
• Operating dishwashing equipment and maintaining cleanliness of the dishwashing and kitchen areas.
• Performing clerical tasks such as answering phones and documenting on menu cards.

Qualifications:

• Experience in customer service, food service, or retail.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• FoodSafe Certification (asset).
• Clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector).
• Negative TB Screening test.
• Complete Immunization Records as per BC Centre for Disease Control guidelines for healthcare workers.

Compensation: The wage is $24.34 per hour, aligned with provincial wage-levelling.
