Job Description

This posting is for Extendicare Guildwood at 60 Guildwood Parkway, Toronto, ON. It is for the DA2 position.

Position Type: Permanent Full Time (75 hours bi-weekly)

Responsibilities:

• Serving meals following residents' diets and preferences.
• Clearing, cleaning, and sanitizing tables after meal service.
• Filling temperature logs for food and refrigeration.
• Cleaning and signing off on cleaning logs as per daily schedule.
• Dishwashing duties.
• Participating in ongoing education and in-services.
• Other duties as required by Manager/Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion and/or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program meeting the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act requirements. If enrolled, must complete within three years of hire.
• Current Food Handler's Certificate.
• Previous dietary experience preferred in LTC (Long Term Care) Home (0-1 year).
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English.
• Ability to work safely following safety practices.
• Must be able to do moderate to heavy lifting.
• Availability for workdays, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
