The Opportunity:

The Dietary Aide assists in meal preparation and serving, maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Serve meals to residents and guests courteously.
  • Assist in setting up and preparing items such as beverages, salads, and desserts.
  • Set and clear dining tables; deliver tray service as needed.
  • Help clean dishware and cutlery after each seating.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Participate in catering and special events.

What You Will Need:

  • Food Handler's Certificate.
  • Experience in food service and working with seniors is preferred.
  • Enrolled in or willing to enroll in Food Service Worker Training Program.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, transfer hot items, and stand/walk for most of the shift.
  • Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
  • Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one.
