Job summary

Kits Care Staff Solution Ltd. is hiring a casual Dietary Aide at Point Grey Private Hospital in Vancouver, BC.

Join a compassionate team providing high-quality meals and dining support to residents, while ensuring safety, sanitation, and timely service. Ideal candidates have at least one year of kitchen-focused experience, Safe Food Handling Level 1 and WHMIS, strong communication, and the ability to work independently with flexibility.

Qualifications

• At least one year of work experience; knowledge in cooking preferable.
• Safe Food Handling Level 1 and WHMIS certificate.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Strong time management.
• Flexibility to work independently.
• Physically and mentally able to perform duties.
• Caring and considerate attitude to residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe, clean and organized kitchen and storage area
• Supports the Chef/Cook in the kitchen, so it runs to time with having snacks and meals prepared ready to serve
• Helps direct portions sizes are appropriated and requested taking into consideration likes, dislikes and allergies
• Maintains a log for the fat trap maintenance and emptying
• Ensures a safe, clean and secure environment in the kitchen and dining room for staff, residents and visitors
• Attends Infection Control meetings once every two months

About Point Grey Private Hospital

Point Grey, significantly expanded and improved in 2020, offers 153 licensed residential care beds consisting of primarily single occupancy rooms. Point Grey boasts views of the mountains and ocean as well as large windows and homelike furnishings. This home has four stories with a dining area, recreation areas and a large outdoor patio on each floor. The desirable location and freshly decorated interior provide our clients with a comfortable and homelike environment.

What You’ll Do
