Job summary

A family-run health care service in Ontario is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide. You will provide dietary support and meal preparation for elderly residents while ensuring quality care. Carveth Care Centre has been providing quality Long term Care and Assisted Living Services in Gananoque, Ontario since 1965. Helen Henderson Care Centre offers seniors and Long Term Care residents quality care and services in Amherstview, Ontario. Join our team in Gananoque and help us provide exceptional care for our residents!

We are currently looking for a part-time :

Dietary Aide

Qualifications :

  • Mature and good physical / mental health;
  • Able to relate to the needs of the elderly;
  • Capable of working alone and as part of a team in a brisk working environment;
  • Able to organize workload and complete tasks in a set time while maintaining quality and quantity of work;
  • Working knowledge of WHIMIS;
  • Long-term care dietary experience preferred or other related food service experience such as waitress or food server;
  • Food Worker’s Certificate (or enrolled in program at time of hiring);
  • Willingness to attend in-service training;
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Canadian Police Information Check (CPIC) at their own expense.

This job is 25 hours a week. (5 1 / 2 hours a workday.) Starting wage is $21.31 an hour.
