Fair Oaks Estates is a secure gated community that offers Assisted Living and Memory Care for older adults with dementia. Our 63-bedroom community is located on four beautiful acres in Carmichael, California. Our spacious private and shared studio apartments offer excellent views of mature landscaping and colorful courtyards.

We provide specialized care plans specific to the unique needs of each resident. We work with families, doctors, and other support groups to ensure we provide the right amount of care and attention, but not so much that we inhibit independence.

Job Description

Full-time position available. Team member to assist the kitchen staff in fine dining food prep in our senior living community.

The Dietary Server provides the residents their food and beverages; assists the cook as needed, cleans the kitchen and dining area, and delivers meals to Memory Care and resident rooms as needed. The server must be familiar with the residents' names, meal preferences, and special diets as prescribed by the physician. The server will work with the care staff to oversee the health and welfare of the residents during mealtimes. Servers will make themselves available to help with special events as directed by management.

  • Assist the kitchen staff in fine dining food prep and serving in our senior living community.
  • Follow menus and standards in serving food on a timely basis, in sufficient quality and quantity, incorporating all foodservice requirements, service schedule, and sanitation standards.
  • Assist in coordinating prep for the following shift & daily menus.
  • Serve food to residents, employees, and at special events. Prepare, season, and assist in cooking all menu items.
  • Assist in coordinating prep for the following daily menus.
Qualifications

Ability to work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, and communicate effectively in English.

  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills required.
  • Mobility required during the entire shift (bending, twisting, etc.) along with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Hardworking, energetic, positive attitude, works well on a team, & excellent attendance mandatory.
