AgeCare Ltd. in Oshawa, ON, is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support residents’ dietary needs and ensure meals are appealing and served in a welcoming atmosphere.

You will assist with setup, preparation, serving and cleanup of meals, reporting to the Director or Dietary Manager. The role requires a Food Handler's Certificate, prior food service experience with seniors preferred, and a willingness to train.

Qualifications

• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Preference for experience in food service and working with seniors.
• Must be or be enrolled in Food Service Worker Training Program.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand/walk for the majority of shift.
• Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
• Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check (within six months) or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist in the set up and preparation for service of items such as beverages, salads, desserts, etc.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and cutlery after each seating as required.

AgeCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the dietary needs of our residents, ensuring they receive appealing meals in a welcoming atmosphere. As a Dietary Aide at AgeCare, reporting to the Director or Dietary Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience. • Must be able to provide a current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check, including a Criminal Record Check, or be willing to obtain one.
