Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team in Ontario. You will assist with setup, service, and cleanup of meals, delivering trays and maintaining dining areas in a resident-centered environment.

Responsibilities include meal service, food preparation support, keeping rooms and equipment clean, and helping with special events. A Food Handler's Certificate and excellent customer service are preferred; physical stamina is required.

Qualifications

• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Experience in food service with seniors preferred.
• Must be enrolled in or have completed Food Service Worker Training Program.
• Strong customer service skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a courteous manner.
• Assist with setup and preparation for service of beverages, salads, desserts, etc.
• Set and clear dining tables; deliver tray service.
• Assist with dishware and kitchen area cleaning; maintain dining area cleanliness.
• Support catering and participate in special events and training of new staff.
• Follow health and safety procedures and provincial regulations.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the dietary needs of our residents, ensuring they receive appealing meals in a welcoming atmosphere.As a Dietary Aide at AgeCare, reporting to the Director or Dietary Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience.
