Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a Dietary Aide to create a welcoming dining experience for older adults. You will take and deliver tableside orders, serve residents with warmth, and help set up and maintain a safe dining environment. Ideal candidates have secondary education, a food handler certification, customer-service experience, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Secondary school education or equivalent.
• Food Handler Certification (training provided if not already certified).
• Experience as server or in customer service role.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced setting and attentive to detail.

Responsibilities

• Take and deliver tableside food and beverage orders promptly and professionally

• Set up the dining room and clear tables following Chartwell standards
• Maintain clean and organized area to ensure safety and efficiency

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
• Physical ability to meet job demands, including standing for long periods, lifting and carrying heavy items, and handling kitchen tools safely
• Preparedness to respond to emergency situations
• Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
