Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our client's team in Vancouver, BC. In this role, you will support the preparation and service of meals, ensuring that residents' dietary needs and preferences are consistently met. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming dining environment for our residents.

  • Pay Rate : $21 - $24 / h (based on experience)
  • Shift : casual
  • Job type : Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
  • Ensure proper portion control and presentation of meals.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and staff to ensure dietary needs are met.
  • Support the dietary team in meal planning and special dietary requests.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a dietary or food service role preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Lifting and carrying food supplies and equipment.
  • Working in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat and cooking equipment.
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
