Position: Dietary Aide / Permanent Part Time

Location: Long Term Care (Granite Ridge Care Community)

As a Dietary Aide at Long Term Care, you'll contribute more than just your professional skills; you'll create meaningful relationships with the individuals who call Sienna Senior Living Granite Ridge their home. This position allows you to deliver compassionate care to our residents through your responsibilities in dietary services. What You’ll Be Doing

You will be a valued member of the long-term care team, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Dietary Aide, you will ensure a safe and clean environment for residents. As part of a team, you'll contribute to the culture of the home, focusing on helping residents live fully, every day.

How You’ll Succeed
  • Assist with the preparation and serving of meals
  • Follow residents' diets and food preferences
  • Take menu orders from residents
  • Set and clear tables in dining rooms and ensure they are sanitized
  • Follow proper food handling techniques
Who You Are
  • Have a valid Safe Food Handler’s Certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • Committed to providing compassionate support that enables seniors to live their lives to the fullest
  • Detail-oriented with strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with residents and staff
  • Experience in food service from institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality settings is a plus
  • Possession of a Food Service Worker Certificate is beneficial but not required
  • Applicants must pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check (Ontario) or Criminal Records Check (British Columbia)
