Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Canada Inc. seeks an Experienced Truck Mechanic’s Apprentice to join our Saint-Laurent team. This role offers an evening schedule, hands-on training, and opportunities to work on engines, PTOs, transmissions, and electrical systems.

You will assist in major component overhaul, diagnose issues, and perform preventive maintenance with support from senior technicians. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an apprentice program is required.
• Must maintain membership with relevant government agencies.
• 310S license or automotive background is acceptable.
• Proficiency with shop tools is required.
• Valid driver’s license class G or 5; DZ within 6 months is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and diagnose engines, powertrain, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, PTOs and electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing on vehicles.
• Identify parts required for repair and inspect brake, steering and suspension systems.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to safety standards.
