As a Diesel Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our customer fleet of diesel vehicles, ensuring they operate at optimal performance levels. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in diagnostics, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. Must be able to work both days and afternoon shifts: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm and 3:30 pm to 12:00 am.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with Service Advisors to obtain work orders and customer service specific requirements
• Inspect motor in operation, road test vehicles, and test automotive systems using diagnostic tools to identify faults
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of diesel systems including fuel, brakes, steering, suspension, engine, drivetrain, emissions, cooling, climate control, electrical, and electronic systems
• Evaluate and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups
• Advise customers and Service Advisors on work performed and future repair needs
• Inspect mechanical units like engines, transmissions, axles, and brakes to locate faults
• Diagnose faults and determine whether to repair or replace units
• Repair or replace mechanical components using hand and power tools
• Test and adjust units to meet performance specifications

Qualifications:

• Diesel Service Technician 310T certification
• Ability to work independently
• Intermediate drivability diagnostics skills
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract
• Strong communication skills
• Problem-solving skills for independent and team work
