Title: Diesel Mechanic

Starting hourly rate ranges from $21 to $45.

KAG is now seeking to hire all levels of Diesel Mechanics - Apprentice, Levels I, II, III, and HM183 certified!

Position Summary:

This role involves performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties in a fast-paced environment, focusing on Class 5 through Class 8 commercial vehicles, including tank trailer inspections compliant with FMCSA regulations.

Essential Functions:

All fleet mechanic positions will perform vehicle maintenance and repairs safely and accurately.

• Fleet Mechanic Apprentices will receive hands-on training on preventive maintenance and repairs of trucks and trailers.
• Levels I & II will learn to use maintenance software, create work orders, and assist with repairs.
• Level III will handle advanced diagnostics and repairs, qualifying with necessary certifications.

HM183 certified mechanics will perform tank testing and inspections as per FMCSR standards, with at least 3 years of signing test forms as a Registered Inspector.

Pay Range:

$21.00 - $45.00

Requirements:

For Levels I, II, III:

• Valid Driver's License
• 1-5 years of heavy-duty vehicle maintenance experience
• Certifications: Air Brake, EPA 609 (or ability to obtain)

For HM183 positions:

• Valid Driver's License
• Proof of 3-year tank testing inspector experience or 1 year under a qualified inspector with ability to obtain inspector certification

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds; over 50 pounds with assistance
