Job summary

CMP Group Ltd. is hiring a Die Cast Operator for our Delta, British Columbia facility. You will operate the die cast machine, assist with finishing operations, and help maintain a safe, efficient production line.

The role requires 2+ years of die casting and setup experience, the ability to work unsupervised, and willingness to rotate shifts. Strong dexterity and basic computer skills are a plus. We offer an extended benefits plan after 4 months, a pay matrix, overtime opportunities, and company

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience operating a die cast machine.
• 2+ years of die set up and tear down.
• Able to work unsupervised and follow processes.
• May require rotating shift: day, afternoon, weekend.
• Stand for long periods in a labor-intensive environment.
• Completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Good dexterity and basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• First Aid Attendant certified or willing to obtain.
• NADCA courses (asset).
• Overtime availability (asset).

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot the Die Cast machine to keep production at target.
• Perform finishing operations: grinding, deburring, drilling, tapping, vibratory.
• Follow safety policies and report incidents.
• Assist with internal/external audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

CMP Group Ltd., a leading provider of Marine Products, Construction, and Industrial solutions.

We are seeking a Die Caster to join Delta, British Columbia location/team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Die Cast Operator will be running the Die Cast Machine, and assisting with finishing operations including grinding, deburring, drilling, tapping and vibratory operations.

• Pay rate is $ 26.66, 27.83 and 28.92 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities

• To ensure the die cast machine is running at optimal to produce zero defects
• Follow all the safety policies of the company, safe working procedures, emergency procedures and accident and safety reporting procedures.
• Safely, efficiently, and effectively operate & troubleshoot the Die Cast machine
• Perform finishing operations including, grinding, deburring, drilling, tapping and vibratory operations.
• Assist with Internal/External Audits
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• 2 + years experience running a Die Cast machine
• 2 + years of experience in die set up and tear down
• Comfortable working unsupervised and to follow process
• Based on the needs of the business at the time of hire, this position may be required to work a rotational shift: day, afternoon and weekend shift
• Comfortable working in a labor-intensive environment while standing for most of the day and performing repetitive tasks
• Completed Grade 12 or equivalent
• Good dexterity and basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Occupational First Aid Attendant certified or willingness to do so and comfortable taking any additional training/courses as required
• Completion of NADCA courses an (Asset)
• Availability for overtime (Asset)

Hours

• Monday to Friday
• Day shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm
