Job summary

CMP Group Ltd. is seeking a Die Cast Operator for our Delta, BC location. You will run the die cast machine and assist with finishing operations such as grinding, deburring, drilling, tapping and vibratory work, reporting to the Production Supervisor.

The role offers a full-time permanent position with an extended benefits plan after 4 months, a pay matrix, potential overtime, and opportunities to participate in company events. Shifts may include day, afternoon, and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience operating a die cast machine.
• 2+ years' die cast tool up/down experience.
• Ability to work unsupervised and follow processes.
• Willingness to work rotating day/afternoon/weekend shifts as needed.
• Completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Good dexterity and basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Occupational First Aid Attendant certified or willing to obtain.
• NADCA courses are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate the die cast machine to maximize uptime and minimize defects.
• Follow safety policies and procedures, and report incidents.
• Safely troubleshoot the die cast machine and perform finishing tasks.
• Perform grinding, deburring, drilling, tapping and vibratory operations.
• Assist with internal/external audits and other duties as required.

CMP Group Ltd., a leading provider of Marine Products, Construction, and Industrial solutions.

We are seeking a Die Caster to join Delta, British Columbia location/team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Die Cast Operator will be running the Die Cast Machine, and assisting with finishing operations including grinding, deburring, drilling, tapping and vibratory operations.

• Pay rate is $ 26.66, 27.83 and 28.92 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities

• To ensure the die cast machine is running at optimal to produce zero defects
• Follow all the safety policies of the company, safe working procedures, emergency procedures and accident and safety reporting procedures.
• Safely, efficiently, and effectively operate & troubleshoot the Die Cast machine
• Perform finishing operations including, grinding, deburring, drilling, tapping and vibratory operations.
• Assist with Internal/External Audits
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• 2 + years experience running a Die Cast machine
• 2 + years of experience in die set up and tear down
• Comfortable working unsupervised and to follow process
• Based on the needs of the business at the time of hire, this position may be required to work a rotational shift: day, afternoon and weekend shift
• Comfortable working in a labor-intensive environment while standing for most of the day and performing repetitive tasks
• Completed Grade 12 or equivalent
• Good dexterity and basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Occupational First Aid Attendant certified or willingness to do so and comfortable taking any additional training/courses as required
• Completion of NADCA courses an (Asset)
• Availability for overtime (Asset)

Hours

• Monday to Friday
• Day shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm
