Description
The Diagnostic Sonographer I performs standardized and complex ultrasound procedures for the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology. The Diagnostic Sonographer produces images of high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner while attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing procedures. The Diagnostic Sonographer is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or recognized equivalent required. Registration with Sonography Canada (CRS) is required. BLS (Level C- Health Care Provider) required.
Additional Required Qualifications
Trained in Echocardiography and General. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong technical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an acute hospital setting. Experience with interventional procedures. Experience with Connect Care and Enterprise Imaging. Experience with Philips Epiq machine.
