Job summary

Fraser Health is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (General Procedures & Cardiac) to join our imaging team in British Columbia. You will perform ultrasound procedures across abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, vascular and small parts, ensuring patient-centered care.

Reporting to the Supervisor and Site Coordinator, you will help maintain quality imaging and safety. Benefits include four weeks of vacation in the first year, comprehensive health benefits, and a pension plan.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Medical Diagnostic Sonography program.
• Certified with Sonography Canada or ARDMS (or Sonography Canada with CCsa).
• Ability to operate diagnostic imaging equipment and related information systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for testing and review requisitions and history.
• Perform ultrasound procedures across abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, vascular and small parts.
• Assist radiologist during interventional procedures and support patient during tests.
• Ensure image quality and complete technical documentation for radiologist review.
• Maintain workflow by managing requisitions and patient transport as needed.
• Monitor equipment and report malfunctions per procedures.
• Demonstrate techniques to staff and participate in training.
