Women's Ultrasound Clinic of Ottawa offers women’s health ultrasound specializing in obstetrics. It is our goal to provide our patients with state-of-the-art ultrasound diagnostic technology combined with experienced healthcare professionals to ensure our patients feel comfortable and receive the care they need. Our modern clinics are expanding, and we are seeking skilled and registered, or eligible for registration, full-time, part-time and casual Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (Ultrasound Technologists) to join our growing outpatient clinic practice.

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasound Technologist), you’ll use the latest ultrasound technology to perform diagnostic imaging, all while keeping patients comfortable and safe. You’ll explain procedures, position patients just right, and adjust equipment for the best possible images. Working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, you’ll analyze images, keep detailed records, and contribute to exceptional patient care.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform female pelvic and obstetrical ultrasounds and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
  • Position patients appropriately for optimal imaging results.
  • Analyze images for quality and completeness, ensuring all necessary views are obtained.
  • Recognize normal and abnormal anatomy and communicate findings to radiologists or physicians.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide patient care and ensure safety.

What We’re Looking For

  • CMITRO registration is required
  • CRGS certification with Sonography Canada registered (required).
  • An ability to innovate in evaluating data and making sound decisions.
  • A desire for continuous learning to enhance skills and experience.
