Job summary

Northern Health in Quesnel, BC is seeking a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound procedures and related duties in collaboration with radiologists, physicians and other health care professionals. The successful applicant must hold current certification with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS, be an active member in good standing, and be willing to rotate through after-hours on-call.

Shift: Monday to Friday days, 07:30–15:30.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized/accredited Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography). Current certification with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS as required for the assigned practice area (such as, generalist, cardiac, and/or vascular). Active membership in good standing with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties in collaboration with radiologists, cardiologists, physicians, and other health care professionals.
• Rotate through after-hours call list.
• Under supervision of Manager or designate, provide ultrasound services as part of the Medical Imaging team.

Position Summary

Are you a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Medical Imaging department.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and in accordance with the standards of professional practice and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties working in collaboration with radiologists/cardiologists, physicians, and other health care professionals.

Successful applicant will be required to rotate through after-hours call list.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work:

Monday to Friday, Days - 07:30 to 15:30, 07:30 to 13:15

Qualfications

Current certification with Sonography Canada and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, generalist, cardiac, and/or vascular).
