Qualifications

Position Summary

Are you a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Medical Imaging department. In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health and in accordance with the standards of professional practice, performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties working in collaboration with radiologists/cardiologists, physicians, and other health care professionals. This is a mobile sonographer position with the regional team. Staff will be expected to travel.

Shift & Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, Days - 08:00 to 16:00, 08:00 to 18:30

Qualfications
  • Graduate of a recognized/accredited Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography). Current certification with Sonography Canada and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, generalist, cardiac, and/or vascular). Active membership in good standing with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.

  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and a commitment to excellence in the provision of client care.
  • Equipment: Demonstrated data analysis skills including appropriate data analysis and reporting tools. Demonstrated ability in the use of e-mail and word processing. Ability to operate other related equipment as required in the specific practice area.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
