The Opportunity

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at MIC, you:

  • work with our Radiologists each day, reviewing cases, collaborating, and learning.
  • are part of a team that supports and cultivates camaraderie by sharing ideas, discussing cases, and supporting workload
  • additional training opportunities in Ultrasound specialties such as Vascular, MSK, Nuchals, Breast imaging and assisting with biopsies. Also, future opportunities in leadership.
  • work with up-to-date equipment that supports Sonographers health and ergonomics
Role and Responsibilities
  • Perform high quality, timely ultrasound exams in obstetrics, abdomen, pelvis, small parts, echo, vascular, breast
  • Provide exceptional patient care
  • Ensure patient information and relevant history is accurate and complete
  • Complete worksheets accurately to share with Radiologist
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and time management skills
  • Critical thinking, asks questions and is solution oriented
  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality of all patients and employees
  • Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment
  • Work well within a team and individually
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Graduate from accredited Sonographer Program
  • Active credentialed Member of Sonography Canada
