Qualifications

  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists in the specialty of Nuclear Medicine.
  • Ability to perform Diagnostic Imaging procedures to professional standards.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.

  • Acquire images in nuclear medicine to reveal disease details.
  • Administer radioactive tracers with precise handling.
  • Use gamma cameras and computer analysis to create diagnostic images.

Rotation/Shifts

Days, evenings and nights, including weekends, 8 hour shifts.

  • Immerse Yourself: Acquire images in nuclear medicine to reveal disease details, guide treatment decisions, and monitor patient progress.
  • Radiate Compassion: Comfort patients, answer questions, and provide emotional support.
  • Master the Tracers: Administer radioactive tracers with precise handling and safety.

Basic Requirements
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario in the specialty of Nuclear Medicine
  • Eligible for Certification in CPR
  • Ability to operate Nuclear Medicine equipment and software for imaging, non-imaging, and patient care applications
  • Ability to perform Diagnostic Imaging procedures to professional standards
  • Knowledge and adherence to radiation safety measures in Nuclear Medicine
  • Ability to assist in invasive procedures
  • Knowledge of septic and aseptic techniques
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Good problem solving
  • Eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a hospital environment performing a broad range of Nuclear Medicine examinations
  • Experience in CT and PET imaging
  • Proficiency in English and French - oral expression and comprehension (advanced level)
