Job summary

Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering & Oshawa is seeking a Registered Technologist to perform radiographs and CT imaging, support radiologists, and ensure patient safety. You will rotate through modalities, participate in training, and uphold CMRT/OAMR standards.

This regular full-time role requires flexibility across days, evenings, nights and on-call shifts. Eligible candidates must have a Medical Radiation Sciences program credential and CMRITO license; CAMRT membership is preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a recognized Medical Radiation Sciences program.
• Must have CMRITO license.
• Demonstrated knowledge of all radiographic, fluoroscopic examinations, computed tomography techniques, pathology and record keeping required to operate in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
• Proven ability to use varied X-Ray, CT, Fluoroscopy and ancillary equipment to provide high quality diagnostic images for the Radiologist.
• CAMRT membership, preferred.
• Must have satisfactory performance record.

Responsibilities

• The Technologist is responsible for producing radiographs and computed tomography images with accountability to storing images and recording them as required to complete examinations requested by medical staff in accordance with the procedures set out in appropriate manuals; assisting the Radiologist in the performance of their procedures and ensures patient comfort and safety; maintaining technical competence as required under the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) guidelines and the requirements of the C.A.M.R.T. and/or O.A.M.R.S.; rotation into other radiographic modalities; participation in student/technologist training and completion of other related duties as required.
