Qualifications

  • Capacité à opérer des équipements d'imagerie pertinents.
  • Connaissance des techniques septiques et aseptiques.
  • Connaissance de l'anatomie en coupe.
  • Expérience souhaitée dans un environnement hospitalier.

Responsibilities

  • Prendre des images diagnostiques de qualité en utilisant la technologie des rayons X.
  • Assister les radiologues/médecins et collaborer avec d'autres membres de l'équipe de soins.
  • Effectuer des procédures diagnostiques ou thérapeutiques.

Position Information

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist 1 takes quality diagnostic images using x-ray technology, assists radiologists/physicians and works cooperatively with other members of the health care team to perform diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.

Rotation/Shifts

Days, evenings, including weekends, 8 hour shifts.

Basic Requirements

  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario;
  • Eligible for Certification in CPR;
  • Ability to operate relevant equipment and software for imaging, non imaging and patient care applications;
  • Ability to perform Diagnostic Imaging procedures to professional standards;
  • Ability to assist in invasive procedures;
  • Knowledge of septic and aseptic techniques;
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to multi-task;
  • Good problem solving skills;
  • Eligible to work in Canada.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a hospital environment performing a broad range of diagnostic imaging examinations.
  • Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
