Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Radiological Technologist for Valley Regional Hospital. The role involves delivering patient-centered radiology services with ionizing equipment, following ALARA principles, and maintaining safety in a team-based environment.

Travel to other sites may be required. Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited radiology program with CAMRT certification and NSCMIRTP licensure, and who have or are pursuing cross-modality experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology.
• CAMRT certification required.
• NSCMIRTP licensure required to practice in Nova Scotia.
• Mammography and CT experience considered an asset.
• Basic Life Support certification is required or preferred.
• Ability to work independently with strong time management and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care while operating radiological equipment with minimal supervision.
• Perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures using ionizing radiation per ALARA principles.
• Communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment and promote safety.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology

CAMRT certification

NSCMIRTP licensure

Basic Life Support Certification

Ability to work independently and in multi‑disciplinary teams

French language skills (asset)
