Successful external applicants may be eligible for a one-time Signing Bonus of $10,000, with a Return of Service requirement of two years. This position also qualifies for a Relocation Allowance of $5,000.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Quality and Clinical Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, and indirectly to the Director of Diagnostic Services and MMGS, the DI Quality Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality processes and initiatives. The role involves collaborating with the DI Leadership Team, Operations Manager, Quality and Safety committee, and divisional teams to ensure an effective Quality Management System (QMS). The Coordinator will manage and analyze quality data, facilitate quality improvement initiatives, and support DI divisions in achieving quality and safety goals. The role requires acting as a resource and subject matter expert for all DI staff regarding quality system essentials, focusing on accessibility, safety, service continuity, effectiveness, efficiency, and client-centered care.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Leading and facilitating quality activities using improvement and project management methodologies.
  • Acting as the DI accreditation facilitation lead to meet assessment standards and develop action plans.
  • Operationalizing quality policies and developing a comprehensive QMS.
  • Synthesizing information to identify improvement opportunities and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Assisting divisions in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Utilizing information systems to support clinical decision-making.
  • Reporting on quality improvement activities and progress.
  • Participating in policy development, review, and implementation across departments and the health centre.
  • Supporting organizational quality initiatives and policy changes.
  • Assisting in writing and maintaining quality documents and supporting staff training.
  • Participating in educational sessions on quality and patient safety.
  • Coordinating staff training in quality and risk management.
  • Demonstrating commitment to professional development and leadership.
Hours of Work

Monday-Friday, 75 hours biweekly; some flexibility may be required.

Your Qualifications
  • Registered Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) of any discipline or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS) with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Valid registration and license from NSCMIRTP.
  • Experience in quality control, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth clinical knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging.
  • Experience in quality and safety improvement initiatives is an asset.
  • Completion or commitment to complete a Quality Management System Program.
  • Proficiency in data management and computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, organization, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to apply team-building techniques.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in adult learning or peer education is an asset.
  • Additional language skills are an asset.
