The Dhillon School of Business invites applications from experienced professionals and educators for the position of Content Developer, to commence as soon as possible.
This position will work with the Assistant Dean, Strategic Initiatives. The position will be responsible for the creation of lesson plans and supporting learning materials, at a grade 11 or 12 level, derived from existing introductory accounting curriculum content. The existing content includes both written documents and digital, interactive learning modules.
The main responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Development of lesson plans and teaching notes derived from accounting curriculum materials provided by the School. Materials to be developed may include but are not limited to lecture notes, presentation slides, formative and summative assessment materials, and other materials necessary to deliver the course in a senior high school setting.
- Ongoing consultation with the Assistant Dean, Strategic Initiatives to ensure the desired learning objectives will be met, and to assist with any technical questions regarding the material.
- Meeting with the Assistant Dean, Strategic Initiatives at least twice throughout the duration of the contract period to review progress and deliverables.
Position Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- At a minimum, an undergraduate degree in Education. Master’s in Education is preferred.
- Previous teaching experience at the senior high school level.
- Basic understanding of accounting will be considered an asset.
Hiring Range
$7,000 – $10,000, based on the scope of deliverables.
