Job summary

NTT DATA North America in Toronto seeks a DG Lead to drive a DG Assessment and Tool Selection initiative. You will define governance artifacts, engage stakeholders, and guide clients through data governance maturity and tool choices.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data governance and hands-on experience with governance platforms, delivering structured solutions to complex data challenges in a consulting environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience defining and implementing Data Governance Programs.
• 5+ years of experience in Knowledge and/or experience in 2-3 Data Governance Tools and Platforms (Informatica CDGC, Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, etc)
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Previous experience managing small projects including status reporting, risk & issue management, resource and budget management
• 5+ years of experience in Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

• Documents core data governance framework deliverables – operating model, organization roles & responsibilities, policies, standards, use cases, and performance metrics
• Documents client organization's direction, structure, business processes and requirements as they relate to creation and maintenance of data.
• Analyzes business objectives to understand the governance needs and to determine how data governance can best function to fulfill those needs.
• Identifies cross impact to other systems/initiatives/capabilities.
• Proposes solutions to problems and considers timeliness, effectiveness, and practicality in addressing client needs.
• Understands data governance framework and is able to clearly articulate roles, goals, and timelines.
• Work closely with client stakeholders to understand data challenges, objectives and provide guidance and training on the data governance framework.
• Creates, consolidates, and presents documents relating to use cases, policies, processes, standards, and guidelines, maintaining them throughout the project, including traceability back to requirements.
• Provides a business or process perspective during design reviews.

Position's General Duties and Tasks

Role Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
