Job summary

Linux Association of Canada is seeking a DevOps professional in Halifax, NS, hybrid role (4 days onsite per week) to migrate deployments to GitHub Actions and streamline CI/CD pipelines. You will troubleshoot DevOps issues, build and debug pipelines, and implement automation across multiple tech stacks including Maven, NPM, PyPi, .NET and MSBuild.

Responsibilities include writing POM/Settings from scratch, configuring GitHub Actions runners, and maintaining Jenkins and SonarQube configurations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Diploma in IT (or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience creating and debugging pipeline stages
• Strong understanding of build systems and project types (Maven, NPM, PyPi, .NET, MSBuild)
• Ability to write POM and Settings files from scratch
• GitHub Actions workflows, execution, and runners
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitOps, Artifactory, SonarQube, Terraform, UCD, Ansible
• Jenkins pipelines (Declarative, Multibranch, Maven)
• Troubleshooting Jenkins failures and configuration issues
• SonarQube configuration and usage
• CD tools like Terraform, UCD
• Ansible for configuration and deployment
• Docker and containerization
• Kubernetes (clusters, namespaces, PV/PVC, Helm charts, kubectl deployments)
• Troubleshooting Kubernetes issues
