Job summary

Tech Mahindra in Markham, Ontario seeks an experienced DevOps Lead to own CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure, release management and reliability across development, QA, security, and operations teams.

You will design pipelines, implement IaC with Terraform/Ansible, manage Docker/Kubernetes deployments, and mentor engineers while driving observability and incident management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IT or related field.
• 8+ years IT experience, including 4+ years in DevOps/cloud/platform engineering.
• Experience leading DevOps teams or enterprise automation initiatives.
• Relevant AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, or DevOps certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps strategy, automation roadmap, and platform engineering practices.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for build, test, deployment, and release automation.
• Implement cloud infrastructure using Terraform or Ansible.
• Manage Docker/Kubernetes deployments and ensure environment stability.
• Drive monitoring, incident management, RCA, security, compliance, and reliability improvements.

Job Type: Full time

Role Summary:

Experienced DevOps Lead responsible for CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure, release management, and operational reliability while working closely with development, QA, security, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps strategy, automation roadmap, and platform engineering practices.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for build, test, deployment, and release automation.
• Implement cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Manage Docker/Kubernetes deployments and ensure environment stability.
• Drive monitoring, incident management, RCA, security, compliance, and reliability improvements.
• Mentor DevOps engineers and collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and security teams.

Required Skills:

• Hands on experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Terraform/Ansible, and Bash or Python scripting.
• Good understanding of networking, system administration, observability, and release management.
• Strong problem solving, communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years in DevOps/cloud/platform engineering.
• Experience leading DevOps teams or enterprise automation initiatives.
• Relevant AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, or DevOps certifications preferred.

Fulltime: The pay range for this role is CAD$100,000 - CA$120,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
