Scotiabank is offering a Velocity DevOps Engineer – Capital Markets Internship/Co-op for Winter 2027 to Spring 2028 in Toronto, Ontario. You will work with development and operations teams to automate workflows, monitor performance, and deploy code rapidly while maintaining scalable infrastructure.

As a student, you will join the Innovation Pod and gain mentorship, networking, and professional development in a fast-paced, high-impact environment within a major bank.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems and scripting languages.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of software products.
• Automate workflows and continuously measure application performance.
• Deploy code in short time periods.
• Maintain and improve infrastructure to be scalable, secure, and reliable.
• Collaborate with other teams to identify and resolve issues.
