We are currently seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA). This position is 100% in office in Halifax, NS.

Key Duties:

1. CI/CD Pipeline Management:
   • Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (Groovy) and bash scripts.
   • Ensure seamless integration and deployment processes on a managed Jenkins platform.
2. Microservices Architecture:
   • Design, implement, and manage microservices architecture.
   • Support blue-green deployments and multi-region setups to ensure high availability and reliability.
3. Observability and Monitoring:
   • Enhance system observability by implementing monitoring and logging solutions.
   • Ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.
4. Database Management:
   • Manage and optimize RDS instances for performance and reliability.
   • Implement backup and recovery strategies for databases.
5. Scripting and Automation:
   • Develop and maintain bash/shell scripts to automate routine tasks and processes.
   • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation into the development lifecycle.
6. Code Review and Understanding:
   • Review and understand code structures in Java and Python.
   • Provide feedback and support to development teams.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, microservices architecture, and blue-green deployments.
• 5+ years experience managing Jenkins platform, enhancing observability, and managing RDS instances.
• 5+ years experience in bash/shell scripting and the ability to understand code structures in Java and Python are essential.
