The DevOps team is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the organization. This role is ideal for someone with a strong passion for technology and deep experience designing, deploying, and operating solutions in a public cloud environment that integrates with corporate backend infrastructure and services.

A DevOps Engineer will design solutions from the ground up, troubleshoot issues at both the network and Linux operating system levels, and collaborate effectively across multiple teams with varying technical capabilities.

You will partner with the Operations Development Director and Technical Director to estimate, plan, and implement projects while delivering exceptional results. You have demonstrated success working with large-scale systems, prioritizing competing initiatives, and maintaining a strong focus on uptime and predictability. You are passionate about building automation that reduces manual effort. This role also includes participation in on-call support rotations.

Your Responsibilities
  • Design & Architecture: Contribute to the design of secure, scalable, and supportable technical solutions and deployment models that adhere to DevOps security standards while minimizing team toil.
  • Engineering Leadership: Participate in sprint planning, conduct regular one-on-one meetings, contribute to engineer skill development reviews and goal setting, and mentor engineers in technical design and advanced troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Review & Approval: Oversee the review and approval of internal and partner technical plans, technical briefs, and work plans.
  • Operational Support: Support always-on gaming server infrastructure and provide on-call support for feature launches, live events, and emergency escalations.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve complex deployment, connectivity, performance, and availability issues within production and live services environments.
  • Automation & Innovation: Lead the development of productivity‑enhancing tools and evaluate new technologies to improve team efficiency and platform capabilities.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and runbooks for live support.
Your Qualifications
  • Google Cloud Focus: Six or more years of relevant experience with public cloud services, with a primary emphasis on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). Experience with AWS is also acceptable.
  • Critical System Design: Proven track record in the design, implementation, and operational support of critical, always‑on cloud systems.
  • Containerization & DevOps: Expertise in Kubernetes (GKE), Helm, and Docker to manage and scale containerized workloads.
  • Automation & Programming: Experience developing automated solutions using Python, Ruby, or Go, as well as proficiency with configuration management tools such as Chef and Ansible.
  • Observability & CI/CD: Practical knowledge of monitoring systems such as Prometheus and Grafana, and pipeline automation platforms including Jenkins, GitLab, and GitHub.
  • Cloud Security & Networking: Demonstrated expertise in cloud security best practices, Linux server security, and cloud networking, including load balancers, DNS, subnetting, route tables, NAT, and firewalls.
  • Cloud Database Management: Working knowledge of database concepts, including RDBMS and NoSQL, with specific experience managing and optimizing Database‑as‑a‑Service offerings.
