Job description

We are seeking a Build/Release/DevOps Engineer with expertise in tooling, automation, and collaborative DevOps practices. Responsibilities include managing Azure DevOps and GitHub environments, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, and integrating tools like SonarQube and Nexus IQ. Strong interpersonal skills and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

This is a contractual hybrid role for 6 months, with potential extension. The candidate must work from the Toronto office 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Azure DevOps Organization and Project settings, including user access and permissions.
• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure DevOps Pipelines (classic and YAML).
• Integrate and administer SonarQube for code quality checks.
• Configure Nexus IQ for software security and compliance.
• Manage GitHub Organization and Project settings, including repos and teams.
• Set up and troubleshoot GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline DevOps operations.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure reliable build/release pipelines.
• Document processes and mentor team members on tooling best practices.
• Participate in agile planning using tools like Jira.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven expertise in Azure DevOps administration.
• Deep knowledge of Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Experience with SonarQube and Nexus IQ setup and administration.
• Managing GitHub Organizations and repositories.
• Advanced skills in GitHub Actions.
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline architecture and optimization.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with mentoring experience.
